I grew up in Southern California before moving to St. George, Utah in the summer of 2015. I am happily married since 2015 to my wife, and we have one baby boy. I enjoy watching and playing a variety of sports, especially soccer, which I played competitively in college. I also enjoy being outdoors doing many adventurous activities. I am also a certified sports referee, where I officiate numerous sports at all levels from elementary to adult leagues around the state of Utah.

I started working at DRA as a program staff in the afternoons, helping supervise their after school activities and helping structure their nightly routines. I enjoy the challenge of working with at risk teens because each day is different, and I always have to be on my toes, never getting complacent. I really enjoy seeing the change in the students’ work ethic in both academics and with their personal struggles. It’s great to be involved in their progression! In my current position as a Special Education Teacher, I get the chance to help students with their school assignments, give them study skills to prepare for exams, and evaluate students’ current needs in order to set up the best strategic solutions to help them succeed with their academics. The goal of DRA is to ensure that each student leaves better than when they arrived. I hope that my efforts in working with these students will improve their academic futures long after moving on from DRA.
