Holidays can be a particularly difficult time for students, parents, and family members due to the distance and time away from each other. Diamond Ranch Academy is sensitive to that fact, and allows for the celebration of several holidays throughout the year. Activities are provided and personalized to help our youth understand the purpose of each holiday, and enjoy the festive atmosphere. Of course Thanksgiving, Christmas, Independence Day, and Halloween are most prevalent, but other holidays are observed as well in honor of students from various beliefs and backgrounds.
Recent holiday celebrations have been well received by the youth at Diamond Ranch Academy. Christmas activities include Musical Concerts, Gingerbread Houses, Quilting, and various recreational activities to include Ping Pong, Football, and Playstation 2 or X Box games on a big screen television.
Obstacle Courses, Pie Eating Contests, Bobbing for apples, Volleyball, and Softball games are just a few events provided for students on Independence Day. Water balloons are also an exciting part of that day! Halloween seems to be the most anticipated holiday because the students get to create individual booths and create their own "Spook Alley". Karaoke is an exciting experience that really brings out the best in our youth.
